Karsiyaka boasts unprecedented views of the Kyrenia mountains, and the crystal-clear Mediterranean Sea.
Mediterranean life at its best, unhurried, untouched, out of the way from the noise of the larger developments but close enough to enjoy all the amenities, a place you can truly relax without being isolated.
There are numerous restaurants and bars in and around Karsiyaka. You can quickly venture into Lapta to the east and enjoy the superb hospitality of the island, particularly encouraged to visit Chill beach bar and restaurant and Driftwood restaurant.
Our villa is just a 5 min drive from the stunning Vasilia Beach & Restaurant and Horseshoe Beach which is great for swimming and snorkelling and offers a place for lunch whilst overlooking the sea. The golden sandy beaches of Denizkizi with safe, sheltered waters for children, is only a few minutes away toward Alsancak. Towards Mare Monte are the ancient Roman fish tanks carved into the rocks, well worth the walk alongside the sea front.
You can discover an abundance of ancient sites, close to Karsiyaka. Follow the main road to the fantastic sweeping Bay of Güzelyurt and discover the historic palaces at Soli and Vouni.
A short drive from Karsiyaka takes you to the bustling metropolis of Kyrenia, with its beautiful Venetian harbour, medieval castle, winding back streets and ample restaurants & bars plus plenty shopping to do and museums to visit.
The beaches of Northern Cyprus are beautiful, uncrowded, and unspoiled. To the west of Kyrenia are mainly 'Hotel' beaches where a small charge for umbrella and sunbeds is levied. These beaches are frequently cleaned and have facilities such as changing rooms, W. C’s, and beach bars.
To the east of Kyrenia there are a couple of hotel beaches, but mainly they are unspoiled beaches with occasional small simple beach bars. However, they are beautiful and well worth a visit.
